Welcome to Awesome August!
August is the sunny, gorgeous optimistic month of loveliness. Routines soften, evenings stretch a little longer and suddenly we find ourselves with ‘Augusty’ enjoyment that somehow feels particularly good in this summer month. You don’t need to be going away to turn the simplest things into small pleasures and little rituals; these can make the ordinary become extraordinary and feel like a mini vacation!
• Impromptu and spontaneous gathers with friends at yours or theirs; last minute is often the least stressy
• A cheeky ‘wine o’clock’ with a chilled rose or two
• Eating fish n’ chips from the paper whilst people-watching (our favourite is at the harbour watching boats going in and out)
• Dead heading and foraging through the veg patch at dawn or dusk
• All food eaten outside…compulsory!
• Fruit picking with the little ones
• Reading a proper holiday romance, preferably a paper version!
• Taking afternoon tea to an elderly friend who needs company and a good chat
• An evening stroll or bike ride in nature – beside a lake, along the sea front, through the woods, high on the hills, into the park or a meander in a village
• A cooling foot soak and slow foot massage with something chilling (our Aaahhh! and Sole Balm are excellent)
• Stoking up the BBQ
• Popping on the shorts the minute you get home
• Finding a farmers market

There are 31 beautiful August days with a bank holiday for Scotland at the beginning of the month and at the end of the month for the rest of the UK, so plenty of opportunity to enjoy a lovely long weekend, as well as having 31 intentional self-care-family-care rituals for you and those you do life with.
As a skin-spa brand we love to have a focus each month that goes with the theme of the season and a couple of super treats I’ll bring your attention to…

With a spend of £50 you can choose Life Defence Moisturiser SPF 30 or 50 for half price/£24, a must any time of the year but particularly in this hot sunny weather; or, spend £50 and buy QUENCH for £20. This is our super-hydrating drenching mask, and it can be used as a 20-minute home-spa treatment, or overnight as a sleeping mask, either way it gives lustre and a skin-drink to dry and parched complexions, especially if you got a bit of sun/wind burn.

Whatever and wherever you find yourself this month, I hope you have a health filled, fun filled month and stay well
With love
