Welcome to the most glorious month of May. The garden is at its absolute best this month with a profusion of colour, fragrance and vitality. We certainly start and end our day out amongst the flowers, trees and veg patch, just joy.
In May, I love the fact that the daylight lasts longer and it’s a real invitation to slow down, breathe, and really notice things again. I don’t know about you, but I find myself craving fresh air, good face-to-face chats, a great physical book, a lingering meal outside, a de-clutter of some cupboards and moments that don’t involve a screen.

Which brings me to something I’ve been hearing a lot about lately recently… the “analogue trend.” Now don’t let the name put you off! It’s not about going backwards or giving up technology. Far from it. It’s just about finding a healthy balance.
In a world where we’re constantly plugged in—scrolling, swiping, checking and re-checking—the analogue trend is a gentle shift back towards the tangible, the real, the felt. It’s about choosing experiences that engage our senses rather than just our screens. Think handwritten notes instead of endless typing, a proper catch up over coffee instead of a quick message, a walk in the woods, or stroll by some water without documenting every step or making sure you haven’t missed a message.
The trend is a response I think, to the sheer noise of modern life. We’re surrounded by information, opinions and content every minute of the day and while technology has brought us so much, it can also leave us feeling a little overwhelmed and disconnected. The analogue movement invites us to be more intentional—to pause, to be present, and to reconnect with what really matters.
I LOVE this iconic photo of a darling woman who was watching a royal passer by, and she is fully immersed in who is in front of her, not missing it by being behind the lens.

I was having a lovely conversation just this week with one of our team members Alice, who is a beautiful human being with an equally beautiful soul. We were talking about the simple pleasures of camping, the beach, visiting parks and gardens; indeed, her young son Alfie asked for membership of the RHS when he was a little boy, his weekend of choice being with his parents visiting Royal Horticultural sites. How precious. Furthermore, she told me her love of this started herself when her grandfather had a much-beloved VW camper van.
I’ve been more consciously weaving in a few little analogue moments myself - leaving my phone behind on a walk, jotting thoughts down in a notebook, even just taking five minutes to sit quietly playing my piano, or making a proper pot of tea with china cups on an embroidered tray cloth and no screen in sight. It’s amazing how restorative those small shifts can be.
So this month, I invite you to do the same. Nothing dramatic, nothing complicated—just one or two moments each day where you consciously unplug and reconnect. It might be a conversation, a stretch, a breath of fresh air… or even a mini spa ritual at home.
And of course, this is where wellness comes in so beautifully. At TEMPLESPA, we’ve always believed in the power of real, sensory experiences—touch, scent, human connection. Whether it’s a facial, a massage, it’s about stepping away from the digital world, even briefly, and giving yourself permission to be. We like to think we are joy-givers as a brand and we invite you to give yourself some self-care this month.

May is always a special month, but this year it feels even more exciting with the launch of our beautiful Riviera collection. Designed with summer in mind, it’s everything you need for glowing skin and effortless indulgence wherever you are.
At the heart of the collection is our stunning limited-edition yellow and white striped bag, filled with MY KINDA SKIN essentials the perfect companion whether you're escaping for the bank holidays or simply treating yourself at home. Alongside this, our SPA WHEREVER YOU ARE and TRAVEL THERAPIES limited-editions makes it easy to take a little TEMPLESPA magic with you, wherever your plans may lead.

We’re also thrilled to introduce a limited-edition twist on a favourite SUAGR BUFF ZEST. This invigorating citrus body scrub is the ultimate summer refresh, leaving skin polished, radiant and beautifully scented.
And I can’t not mention our adorable new yellow key pouch, quite possibly the cutest accessory of the season. Clip it onto your bag and pair it with Lip Defence for hydrated, glossy lips all summer long.
There’s more to love this month too, enjoy 20% off our moisturisers (your skin will thank you) and don’t forget those often-neglected feet. Our SOLE BALM is now half price, so you can keep your feet soft, smooth and perfectly sandal-ready all summer.
Whatever your plans for May, take time to enjoy it fully…off-screen as well as on. Stay well, stay positive, and I do hope our paths cross somewhere soon as I continue my travels around the country.
My love
Liz xx
