We’ve all been there! The alarms goes off and for a short moment you are convinced that your head has been glued to the pillow and your body is tied to the bed, how else can you explain the unnatural heaviness you are feeling?! Trying to get up in the morning, let alone make it through the day can be a bit of a nightmare and being asked continuously if you are feeling unwell or questioned as to why you look so peaky, just adds salt to the wounds. Not only are you exhausted, but everyone can see it in your face too.
Temple Spa can’t promise to take those challenges away in your life that lead to lack of sleep, but we can definitely help to medicate the effects and help you to get the best sleep possible in the short time you have.
So here it goes:
Obviously the best tip we can give to get rid of tired looking eyes, is to get a minimum of 6 hours sleep a night. Easier said than done, but if you can look at your week ahead and if you have a bit of a crazy one planned, try and set aside a night where you can relax and get in a few extra zzzz’s.
2. Keep your skin moisturised
During the night your body loses a lot of water. It’s really important to keep you skin moisturised overnight and when you don’t have to worry about putting make-up over a moisturiser, you can afford to wear a much richer cream on your skin. As we get older, collagen and elastin (the skin’s scaffolding) breaks down and the process of skin cell renewal slows down too. Add to that hectic lifestyles, stress and fatigue and it really takes its toll on our complexion that starts to look dull and tired. Truffle Noir has been particularly designed to do night duty on your skin while you sleep. We combined brilliant science with turbo charged ingredients to create a luxury formula that repairs, restores and renews. The texture is amazing and with the addition of Happybelle-PE (happiness in a jar) you really will look great in bed and when you wake up in the morning.
3. Create the right environment
There’s a reason that whenever you go for a spa treatment you find yourself virtually asleep and dribbling within minutes. There is always scented candles, reduced lighting and aromatherapy oils that help to induce relaxation. If you have a bit of time before bed, give your pillow a little spray of Quietude and maybe light a Siesta Forever candle. Creating a relaxing environment will help you drift off to sleep much quicker, making your eyes and skin look much brighter in the morning.
4. Freshen up
We’ve all woken up in the morning feeling like we have grit in our eyes. Pop a bit of Eyes Wide Open onto two cotton pads and lay over each eye for five minutes to cool and rejuvenate. Alternatively, wipe over each eye just for a few seconds to bring instant refreshment. For an extra cool blast place the bottle into the fridge for a few minutes before use, to seriously rejuvenate and put the sparkle back where it belongs! Eyes Wide Open contains a plethora of botanicals that reduce inflammation and sensitivity, and tone and smooth the skin, it is the total tonic your eyes have been crying out for! Incredibly cooling and fantastic for giving sleepy eyes a gentle wake up.
5. Treat your eyes with care
Our eyes are very delicate so it is important that we treat them with respect and kindness. Windows of the Soul is a beautifully lightweight anti-aging eye cream, yet rich in moisturising and soothing ingredients, protecting the skin and reducing sensitivity. The lightweight gel texture cools, lifts and reduces puffiness, whilst the luxurious creamy element gives nourishment to any dryness around the eye, smoothes fine lines and erases tiredness. Why not follow our Bright Eyes Ritual, to make your eyes shine.
