What is interesting or unique about the location and surrounding area of your hotel?
The Hudnalls Hideout is an award-winning A-frame treehouse, the first of its kind in the UK, perched in the tree canopy with chic interiors, outdoor copper bath and a totally secluded location.
What first impression/ experience can a guest expect upon arrival?
The Hideout offers a romantic adults only ‘perched paradise’ where guests can kick back, relax and escape the everyday in style. We encourage our guests to “Think Less, Feel More, Laugh More, Just Be!”
What lasting impression do you like your guests to take away from their stay?
The guests always comment that they have totally switched off and felt completely immersed in nature. Watching the birds from the glass A-frame is the best “glass TV” out there!
What facility and/or feature of the hotel is the biggest USP/ selling point?
There are two standout features – the indulgent copper bath tub, big enough for 2 on the wrap around deck, and the A-frame mezzanine bedroom with floor to ceiling glass. You feel like you can touch the trees as you lie in the loft bed!
What drew you to partner with TEMPLESPA?
We wanted to create an indulgent ‘spa’ vibe but use products that would minimise single use plastic and have more sustainable credentials.
What changes or new exciting developments have you achieved in 2022?
In 2022 we launched our new The Lookout Bar & Larder. A private guest “sundowner” terrace with a bar menu to order for guests to enjoy. The Larder sells local artisan drinks and spirits, local produce, crafts and gifts.
With travellers more environmentally conscious than ever, how do you find balance and sustainability in your offering?
We have been recognised and awarded a Green Tourism Gold award and strive to minimise our impact on the environment. At every opportunity, we source the greenest product options like TEMPLESPA, Who Gives a Crap toilet paper, encouraging guests food and waste recycling, we have solar panels onsite, and we manage our own wild flower meadow to encourage and support pollinators and insects.
