It's High-time We Introduce You To CBD

CBD has been a beauty trend for quite a while now. And, to be honest we’re not really surprised, because it encompasses so many of our obsessions – natural ingredients and stress-relief.

When an ingredient is able to sustain such a buzz for so long, we know that it’s worth exploring further. This multi-talented wonder ingredient has found its way into many things from skincare, nutritional supplements to tea and coffee, hair treatments, baby products and now even croissants.

What is it? Is it safe? And how do you go about adding it into your skincare routine?

What is CBD?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is a natural compound that is found in cannabis plants. These plants contain two primary active ingredients: THC and CBD. THC is the psychoactive ingredient while CBD isn’t. In other words, CBD is safe and won’t get you stoned.  However, what it can do for you, is boost antioxidants and alleviate stressed skin and inflammation.

Hemp oil vs CBD oil

Hemp seed oil is a deeply nourishing oil made from cold-pressed hemp seeds rich in essential Omega-3 & Omega 6 fatty acids.  It also packed with antioxidants  that help improve skin concerns like dryness or redness.  Hemp seed oil protects and soothes skin from the feeling of tightness and using it daily restores skins moisturising balance, plus it is easily absorbed on all skin types. It is also perfect to relax and ease tense muscles.

Both CBD and Hemp make a great addition to your skin care routine if your skin feels out of balance or stressed out: think depleted, fatigued, sensitive, dry or unpredictable skin.

How to use it within your skincare

Incorporating CBD into your skincare is a great idea. We recommend using LIGHT REFLIEF overnight, or weekly. This facial treatment oil has an amazingly light and watery texture that absorbs quickly, almost without trace.

Maybe you’re looking for extra protection against free radicals and oxidative stress. Try combing a few drops of LIGHT RELIEF, CBD oil into your sunscreen and pack on the protection.

You could use as a daily preventative step in your skincare routine to keep skin in optimum condition. Less stressed and fragile, less dry or dehydrated, less prone to blemishes and irritation, less visible lines and less redness. More resilient, calm and healthy looking skin.

Apply a layer on clean skin after toning and before your serum. Or mix a few drops with your moisturiser as the last step in your skincare routine. If your skin is more oily, we suggest this is used after toning so it absorbs quickly and doesn’t influence the mattifying effect of MOISTURE MATTE.
