We spoke to the team about what’s new at the spa and which facilities are not to be missed, plus which TEMPLESPA product is their all-time favourite!
What is the first thing a customer should feel/see/smell when they arrive at your spa?
Our warm welcoming staff with a friendly smile are the first thing they will see. Alongside the beautiful smell of the TEMPLESPA KEEP THE PEACE reed diffuser which is our signature spa scent where you will find them dotted around the spa facilities. We welcome guests with a complimentary herbal tea and hot cloth when they first arrive so they can sit down and relax whilst they fill in their consultation forms while our spa host is on hand to answer any questions and to show them around the facilities making them feel at home.
What is the one thing that you want your customer to remember and take away about your spa?
How we made them feel is something that I would always want them to take away with them, we get so many lovely compliments on our treatments and staff that this is one of the main reasons guests come back time and time again. Our therapists are here to make them feel totally at ease and to make them feel relaxed and comfortable throughout their treatment. Our spa hosts are always on hand throughout the day, checking they have everything they need.
Which is your best-selling TEMPLESPA treatment and why?
The Drift Away massage is always one of our best-selling treatments, we have beautiful heated beds for when it is cold, so this alongside the smells of the patchouli and lavender filling the room from the oil it really does sell itself. People do just ‘drift off’ and always rebook once they have experienced it.
What drew you to partner with TEMPLESPA treatment and products?
Our ethos was the same – we wanted a brand that prided itself on natural ingredients without comprise alongside being affordable without loosing out on amazing results. And TEMPLESPA ticked all the boxes. Since having TEMPLESPA in our spa, we have noticed a massive increase in our retail sales. We also love that customers can really get that spa journey throughout the whole hotel – from the hand wash and cream in the toilets, to amenities being available in the hotel, spa at the bar cocktails and so much more!
What is the typical customer experience at your spa?
We see lots of different clients throughout a day ranging from couples coming for a relaxing getaway, friends wanting to catch up, hen parties, mother/daughter days. So, no two days are the same which is really lovely. We offer not only our poolside facilities which contain a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi but also our thermal which is available to spa guests only so you can slip away and enjoy some peace and quiet. This contains our large hydro-pool, aroma steam room, mineral grotto, soft sauna, experience showers, ice bucket and relaxation area.
What is your USP or biggest selling point as a spa?
We have a wide range of facilities available throughout the hotel as a whole – we have our spa with 10 brand new treatment rooms including 3 non-therapist where we have a salt flotation pod, Massage chairs and a Weyron light and sound bed. All are brand new to the spa and a really exciting feature for us.
We also have a beautiful golf course which is extremely popular with its amazing new driving range alongside crazy golf for the people that don’t take it too seriously.
Which is your personal favourite TEMPLESPA product/TEMPLESPA Treatment and why?
My personal favourite TEMPLESPA product would have to be BODY TRUFFLE – not only is it a beautifully thick moisturiser leaving your skin feeling amazing, the smell is just something else and smells like a perfume. I’m always getting asked what fragrance I have on when I’m wearing it.
My favourite TEMPLESPA treatment would be the Champagne and Truffles facial – it really does leave the skin looking plump and glowing and we get brilliant feedback from clients every time how amazing their skin feels making them come back for it time and time again.
What exciting developments do you have for 2024?
We have recently undergone a huge renovation project in the spa bringing with it 10 beautiful new treatment rooms including 2 dual treatment rooms, including 3 non-therapist treatment rooms of a salt pod, 4 massage chairs and a Welnamis bed which helps you to fully relax through light and sound. A new reception area and spa lounge for guests to fill in their consultation forms and enjoy a drink, retail area and relaxation room. A brand-new gym has also been installed bringing with it the top of the range equipment.
2024 will bring lots of exciting renovations with it to other parts of the hotel and we can’t wait to see the results!
