We all know how great a good night’s sleep feels and how essential it is for wellness, but it’s often easier said than done. This month is National Bed Month and with that in mind, we have put together this divine Temple Spa Ritual to be performed before-bed that will help ease tension, restore equilibrium and prepare your body for sleep. The ultimate way to treat skin, body and soul...
Step 1: Create a perfect ambience
Draw yourself a warm bath and whilst the bath is filling, light a SIESTA FOREVER relaxing aromatic candle and place in a safe place in the bathroom. Turn on THE REPOSE SUITE – the perfect selection of music we created for relaxing and getting you in the sleep mood. Grab your favourite fluffy towel, robe and slipper. Spritz QUIETUDE calming mist lightly on your towel, robe and in the air around you.
Step 2: Go on, drift away
By now your bath should be ready, so drizzle in two capfuls of DRIFT AWAY, our relaxing bathing & massage oil. Crafter with our signature relaxation essential oil blend, it transforms water into a beautifully milky, soft bath, so the moisturising properties of the oils can really penetrate the skin. Sink in and relax. Breathe in the vapours with long, deep, slow breaths. Close your eyes, go over the day in your mind and bring to remembrance at least 3 things you are thankful for – they can be big things or little things. You can also use DRIFT AWAY to give yourself a pre-bed aromatherapy massage.
Step 3: Treat yourself to a mask
Apply your favourite facial mask – the steam from the bath will help open up your pores and all the goodness will penetrate even deeper. QUENCH rejuvenating face mask is an ultra-rich, anti-ageing mask that is like a relaxing drink for the skin – great for a skin boost. After about 20-30 minutes you can remove the mask with fresh water and a TAKE IT OFF muslin cleansing cloth. Hop out of the bath and pat yourself dry.
Step 4: Wrap your skin in a duvet
Take a generous scoop of DUVET comforting body cream and massage gently into your body, starting at the toes and working up each leg, torso, back (get a friend to help you!) then from fingers to arms. Step 5: Time to repose
When you are ready to sleep, take a half a teaspoon size of REPOSE aromatherapy resting cream and rub it into your palms.
