Liz's Diary
Well, here we are at the beginning of a New Year – 2023. Here are a few personal reflections on the coming year.
When I was a little girl, I went on a Girl Guide Camp and my leader gave us giggly girls a piece of advice and I’ve never forgotten it…
I hope this finds you having enjoyed a lovely festive celebration. We’re now at that in-betweeny time between Christmas and New Year, so I wonder what this time will involve for you?
When we look back over the seasonal periods of the past two years, it makes one very grateful to be able to enjoy the face-to-face gatherings of friends and family, concerts, pantomimes, neighbourly drop ins and so on; we don’t take lightly the opportunity to meet, eat and share life together. Welcome to the beautiful winter month of DECEMBER. We’ve all experienced the rather strange and uncertain festive seasons of the past two years, so it makes one very grateful to look forward to face-to-face gatherings of friends and family, live nativity plays, office parties, neighbourly drop ins and so on; we don’t take lightly the opportunity to meet, eat and share life together. Even if we are widespread and this isn’t possible, at least we’ve all learned to Facetime and Zoom LOL!

Welcome to the beautiful crisp month of November. The clocks have changed, the nights have drawn in and we adjust our minds and bodies to all things warm and cosy to embrace the delicious season of autumn-fest. T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops are replaced with wooly jumpers, leggings and boots and the sharp air gives you energy and focus, I just love it.
For me, November is a transitional month and although it’s too early to get out the Christmas decorations, I start to add some berries ...
Welcome to October, or the season of Autumnfest as I like to call it!
It’s when the nights are drawing darker earlier, the crisp leaves can be heard underfoot and the winter woolies are starting to make their appearance again. It can be something as simple as stringing along some fairy lights, collecting fir cones and conkers to jazz up a table centerpiece ...
Welcome to Sunny September!
I don’t know about you, but for me there’s something about September that reminds me of starting afresh; I think it goes back to those school days with new Clarks shoes, sharpened pencils and feeling well rested after the long summer holidays.
At TEMPLESPA Head Office, September is a hugely busy month as we launch our autumn-winter for all things ‘new season’. We’ve now officially launched our Gift Collection, called ‘Spread Your Wings And ...
Welcome to Awesome August! This is the month of the great outdoors. I don’t know about you, but I don’t waste any opportunity from sunrise to sunset to do life outside. This means the day gets longer for me because I don’t want to miss any opportunity to grab the light.
Mark was a paperboy, so he has got up early all his life. I, however, am not a natural early riser. However, when it was pointed out to me that if I were to get up just one hour earlier each day, I’d almost gain an extra working ...
Welcome to beautiful sparkling July
So, July is the month we all go alfresco! Unless it’s bucketing down you won’t find me inside the house during my free time, it’s outside all the way. Whether you’re going away this month or staying at home, and unless you’re reading this in the Southern Hemisphere (and “Hi down there” if you are!) if you’re anything like our household, you’ll be lapping up sunshine, soaking up the Vitamin D, slapping on the SPF, stoking the BBQ, sticking the picnic chairs ...
